The two inaugural winners of the GILBA German language scholarships, BBS with German students Orlagh Deering and Shannon Davitt enjoying Berlin. GILBA (German-Irish Lawyers and Business Association) has made a generous commitment to UL’s Centre for Irish-German Studies to promote German and Irish-German Studies for the next 5 years with 2 grants for German language courses of €350 (for second year students of Business German or Law and German), the “DIJW/GILBA Sprach-Stipendium“. Furthermore, there will be a price for the best FYP or MA thesis in Irish-German Studies, worth €250, also for 5 years. Each prize includes a free one-year GILBA membership.
Orlagh and Shannon also got free places on the Summer Academy on Intercultural Experience in Karlsruhe – a summer to remember!
