Professor Shane Kilcommins made an invited presentation to a Working Group from Serbia on victims of crime in Ireland on the 3rd December 2015. The presentation was organised by the Courts and Judicial Service and took place in the Courts Complex. The general aim of the study visit was to familiarize the Working Group members (who included members of the High Judicial Council, Public Prosecutors, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Interior, and the Law Faculty in Belgrade) with a model of good practice for building a network of linked support services, providing adequate and effective assistance and support to victims of crime throughout different phases of the criminal procedure and to discuss matters of mutual interest.
