Victim Support Europe and Advic Meet with 4th Year Law Plus Students
The School of Law and the Centre for Crime, Justice & Victim Studies were delighted to welcome members of Advic and Levent Altan, Executive Director of Victim Support Europe to speak with final year Law Plus students on Thursday March 14th. The students are working on an Advanced Lawyering Project under the supervision of Dr Susan Leahy. This project involves the production of a report on reform of certain aspects of the law relating to homicide and provision of services to the families of the victims of homicide. The students are looking at issues including: sentencing, victim services and State compensation. The project is funded by the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Teaching Board.
