On Monday 6th November, two students from UL (Niamh Shanahan and Bridget Howard), will compete against a team from the University of Cambridge (Isaac Freckleton and Meredith Philips) in the annual UL/Cambridge Moot. The competition was established in 2014 and aims to develop friendly ties between the two universities. This year the moot scenario focuses on ECHR law and in particular the Freedom of Expression (Art 10) and the Right to Privacy (Art 8).
The moot will begin at 4:30pm in the Moot Court Room (BM015) and all are welcome to attend.
The event is kindly sponsored by Holmes O’Malley Sexton Solicitors, and is run by the UL Law Society, the Mooting Sub-Committee and the School of Law.
