UL School of Law welcomes Bar Council of India

The School of Law, University of Limerick, was delighted to host a delegation of the Honourable Members of the Bar Council of India from August 14th-18th. During their visit, the delegation which comprised of 4 members including Mr Rameshchandra Girdharlalshah, Mr Nilesh Kumar, Mr Amit Rana and Mr Ramchander Rao Naraparaju, met with a range of representatives from the School of Law, from the wider university community and from the local and national legal community. The delegation also met with UL’s Indian law graduates as well as current Indian students.

The Bar Council of India is a statutory body created by Parliament to regulate and represent the Indian bar. It was established by the Indian Parliament under the Advocates Act, 1961.
