Here's a blog from our Transition Year's for Day 3 of their work experience week:
We started off the day by attending a psychology lecture on Human Development. We learned about physical development genes, nature and nurture, physical growth, motor development, perceptual development and health and wellness. It was a very interesting lecture. Next, we made a power point on some of our experiences here so far. After lunch, we met Jennifer Schweppe who talked to us about hate crimes and what must be done in our society to prevent such crimes. That talk was extra good because Jennifer gave us biscuits!! We also got a chance to meet with Aishling, an intern with the HHGR, who spoke to us about how all groups in society need to be respected. We met with Ger Coffey who ran us through what goes on in courtrooms and who sits where in the courtroom. He also explained to us what was happening in the mooting competition taking place tomorrow, which we are very excited to see. We had another great day here at UL.
