Scoil Pól Kilfinane
On Tuesday the 7th of May Dr Norah Burns organised a mock trial for seventy transition year students from Scoil Pól Kilfinane. Assistant Dean, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Dr Lydia Bracken also assisted with the running of the mock trial. Students acted as prosecution counsel, defence counsel, witnesses, the accused, judge and jury in a trial in the Court of Appeal located in the Glucksman Library in UL. Head of the School of Law Professor Shane Kilcommins also spoke to the students about studying law and careers in law. The students were accompanied by their teacher Ms Susan Lowe.
