School of Law/Sweeney McGann Seminar
The School of Law and the International Commercial and Economic Law Research Group in collaboration with Sweeney McGann solicitors, were delighted to host a very successful breakfast seminar on Managing Information as part of the Business and Employment Law, Top Tip Series 2017/18’. The seminar, which was held in the UL Pavilion, was attended by over 120 delegates from businesses interests such as the IDA, Regeneron and Vistakon, as well as legal and other professionals from the mid-west region. The attendees heard presentations from: Professor Raymond J Friel from the UL School of Law on ‘The Changing Environment for Information Management’; Eddie Keane, from the UL School of Law, on ‘Trade Secrets: whose secret is it?’; and Aoife Hennessy from Sweeney McGann on ‘Keeping a Lid on It: an employer’s guide to protecting their business’. The organisers were delighted with the positive response from the attendees and are looking forward to the next event in the series.
