The right to life and policing operations
Cillian Blake, a Ph.D. student in the School of Law and a Detective in An Garda Síochána attached to Special Tactics & Operations Command , has recently had an article published in the International Journal of Human Rights on eroding lethal force principles in policing operations. The article looks in particular at the right to life which exists during policing operations, as understood against human rights jurisprudence.
