Dr John Lombard recently completed a two-week research visit to the Faculty of Law at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. John was hosted by the Intellectual Property Unit. This research centre focuses on IP issues around innovation, and the development of public policy both nationally and internationally. During his visit, John engaged with members of the IP Unit on tobacco control measures and geographical indications. John also spent time researching the right to healthcare as provided for in the South African Constitution. The research visit was supported by the International Activity Challenge Fund 2017/18.
