On April 28th Emeritus Professor John CW Wylie was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate of Laws by the University of Limerick in recognition of his valuable contribution to land law reform in Ireland, in particular his role in drafting the Land and Conveyancing Law Reform Act 2009. Professor Wylie's books on land law, conveyancing law and landlord and tenant law form the backbone of practitioner libraries across Ireland and have acquired near-biblical status. In 2005 he co-authored the third edition of Irish Conveyancing Law with Dr Una Woods of the School of Law and they will soon be co-authoring a fourth edition.
