The Presumption of Innocence Workshop
Shane Kilcommins spoke on the presumption of innocence in Ireland on 24 July 2020, at an online Experts Workshop jointly organised by the
Asian Law Centre, Melbourne Law School, and the School of Law, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The workshop examined the theoretical and social basis for determining the principle of the presumption of innocence; the substantive and procedural requirements should judicial bodies respect in relation to the principle of the presumption of innocence; and the types of mechanisms which should be in place to control abuse of the principle of the presumption of innocence. #SDG16 #SDG17
