Speaker Bio: Patrick Shannon has served as a Judge for the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan since 1999.  He holds his Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit School of Law, Bachelors in Business and a Doctorate in Education from Central Michigan University, and Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan.  Patrick Shannon served as an elected prosecuting attorney for Chippewa County, a Tribal prosecutor and served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney.  He was elected as the President of the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan in 1992.  Currently, Patrick Shannon serves on the Michigan Prescription Drug and Opioid Abuse Commission and is a board member of the Michigan Association of Treatment Court Professionals.  He is the chair of the Mackinac Straits Health System and a member of the American Hospital Association Governance Committee.
