Norah Burns has been awarded funding by the Faculty of Arts Humanities and Social Sciences Teaching Board. The funding will be used to support a Child Law Seminar Series in the Autumn semester of 2016. The seminar series will feature a number of guest speakers who will provide students with the opportunity to hear about the issues facing children in Ireland today. Speakers from organizations such as Barnardos, the Children’s Rights Alliance, Pavee Point, Doras Luimni, Tusla the Child and Family Agency, Dr Connie Healy from NUI Galway, Dr Fergus Ryan from NUI Maynooth and Special Rapporteur on Child Protection Professor Geoffrey Shannon will each give a guest lecture to the students in the undergraduate Child law module.
