The School of Law is located on the ground floor of the Foundation building (the same building as the University Concert Hall). To get to the School of Law offices, go through the door opposite the stairs on the ground floor.

Getting to the University of Limerick

The University of Limerick is a campus university situated approximately 6kms from the city centre. It is easily accessible by air, rail, car, and bus.

By Road

Limerick is a two hour drive from Dublin travelling on the N7. If you are driving to the University, ensure that you park in a general area rather than a staff cark park, as parking in a staff car park without a permit will result in your car being clamped. There are two pay cark parks that require a payment of €3 on exit; only €1 and €2 coins can be used. The most accessible car park to the Foundation building is situated at the back of the building. For more information click here.

By Rail and Bus

Limerick is served by a regular rail link connecting it to Dublin, Cork, and Galway, and by bus links from most parts of the country. For further details on train travel, including timetables and fares, see Irish Rail. For further details on bus routes and timetables, see Bus Eireann.

Both the train and all bus routes reach their destination at Colbert Station in Limerick City. The University is situated approximately 6kms outside the city, and a taxi from the Colbert Station to the University costs approximately €10. Taxis are generally available directly outside the station.

By Air

Ryanair, Aer Lingus, and other airlines fly directly to Shannon Airport from cities across the United Kingdom, Europe, and the United States. If you fly into Shannon and require a bus to Limerick, there is a service running on a regular basis from the airport to Limerick bus station, which adjoins Limerick train station (Colbert Station). The fare is approximately €5.70 (single). For more information on timetables see here. 

A taxi from Shannon Airport to the University will cost approx. €40. It is very important to note that there is no taxi rank at Shannon Airport. The taxi desk is to the right as you come from the Arrivals Hall. Taxis can be booked here or by phone on +353 61 333366.
