Research on domestic abuse by Dr Susan Leahy (co-director, CCJVS) has been included in both the Irish Examiner newspaper and the Garda Review in the past week. Her commentary discusses ratification of the Istanbul Convention and the challenges of implementing reforms contained in the Domestic Violence Act 2018, particularly the offence of coercive control.
