On 25th October, Dr Mary Tumelty delivered a guest lecture to students of the LLM Contemporary Challenges in Medical Law and Ethics module. Dr Mary Tumelty completed her PhD in UL School of Law in 2017 on the topic of medical negligence. She spoke to students about the civil and criminal responses to medical error. Her talk was structured around the use of case studies which provided an engaging and practical exploration of the subject.
