The School of Law ran two very successful Law for a Day Initiatives with just under 80 Senior Cycle students in attendance. On the 7th  and 9th of April, Leaving Certificate Students, 5th Year Students and Transition Year Students attended a series of workshops and lectures including a talk from Jerry Cronin, the Cooperative Education Manager for the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. The students were assisted throughout the day by Student Ambassadors from 1st to 4th Year. Both days provided secondary students with an opportunity to experience life as a law student. The students thoroughly enjoyed the mooting and attending lectures including Administrative Law, Constitutional Law and Sport and the Law.

The School of Law would like to thank Carol Huguet and Emma Foley, the School of Law Administrators, for organising the day, the welcome packs, emailing the students and for making sure that the students attended the relevant workshops and lectures. Thank you to Dr Connie Healy, Sarah Crowley and Laura Donnellan for accommodating the students in their lectures. Thank you to Dr Laura Cahillane who organised the mooting on both days and Dr Susan Leahy and Laura Donnellan for providing the course talks. Also, thank you to Professor Shane Kilcommins who spoke to the students on both days. A very special thank you to all our Student Ambassadors who ensured that the students got to the classes and workshops and who spoke to them over lunch, took them on the tour of the campus and registered the students. Without all these people, the Law for Day would not have been possible.
