The School of Law was delighted to welcome Peter and Kathleen Fleming to the University of Limerick on August 23rd to present the Kate Fleming Memorial Plate to Law Plus graduates, Kelly Aherne (Law); and Aileen Fitzmaurice (Law). Kirsten Delcellier and Meghan Feeney, both students in the Graduate Entry Medical School were also on the winning team. The prize is named in honour of Kate Fleming, a much loved former student of the School of Law. This year, the competition was a joint venture between the School of Law and the Graduate Entry Medical School and involved students of law and medical students working together in multi-disciplinary teams to settle a claim of medical negligence. This competition represented a great opportunity for interdisciplinary learning and to remember a valued former student. Many congratulations to the members of the winning team, the Law School wishes you the very best in your future careers.
