In this presentation Professor Raymond J Friel discusses the pros and cons of suspending IP rights in Covid19 vaccines and in particular the impact such a move would have on public health and medical progress. He will look at it through the prism of basic intellectual property rights and their development over the last couple of hundred years and in light of ever increasing new technological development.
