International Sports Law academic, Prof. Mark James, launches the Sports Law, Governance and Practice Research Cluster
The Sports Law, Governance and Practice Research Cluster was delighted to have Prof. Mark James, Professor of Sports Law and Director of Research as the Manchester Law School, Manchester Metropolitan University launch the Research Cluster with his seminar on ‘Athlete Activism at Major Sporting Events’ on 6 September 2022. During his trip to UL, Prof. James spoke to PhD students about publishing and gave a seminar to staff on ‘Planning to get the best from your research’. The Sports Law, Governance and Practice Research Cluster was established in December 2021 by Dr Laura Donnellan. The Cluster’s Advisory Board consists of internationally recognised academics and practitioners who specialise in sports law, including Prof. James.
