Shane Kilcommins was delighted act as an assessor and to participate in the Garda National Youth Awards virtual ceremony on Thursday 29 October next from 2pm – 3pm. The Awards were hosted by Commissioner Drew Harris and were be attended by the Minister of Justice & Equality. Thirty young people from across the country were chosen as Award winners from over 100 nominations. The Garda Youth Awards, at Divisional and National level, celebrates outstanding young people aged between 13 and 21 years, and recognises the good work they are doing throughout their communities. The first ever Garda Divisional Youth Awards was created by a local Juvenile Liaison Officer in West Cork in 1995.A clip from the 2019 awards is available below:
