Dr. Susan Leahy has been awarded funding by the Faculty of Arts Humanities and Social Sciences Teaching Board. The €600 grant will be used to fund an Autumn seminar series for the incoming first years on the new BA Criminal Justice which will commence in September 2016. The Seminar Series will feature guest speakers from a number of key stakeholders in the criminal justice system who will provide students with ideas on potential careers they may embark upon after completion of their degree, as well as providing valuable insights into the practical workings of the criminal justice system. This initiative will also provide the incoming students with an opportunity to get to know each other, as well as allowing them to meet informally with members of faculty from within the School of Law and the Centre for Crime Justice and Victim Studies.
