HSE Award funding for research into DNACPR orders
Dr John Lombard has been awarded €89,810 from the HSE to conduct research on Do Not Attempt Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (DNACPR) orders, and to lead the development of a stand-alone DNACPR policy for Ireland. A DNACPR policy will provide practical guidance to healthcare workers on the best course of action for an individual in the event of a cardiac arrest. This research will shape DNACPR practice for all HSE and HSE funded staff in the State.
