Dr. Eimear Spain travelled to Moscow on October 30th to present a paper at a workshop entitled: Challenges of Implementation of the Judgments of the European Court of Human Rights: Dialogues on Prisoner Voting. The paper, co-written with Prof. Shane Kilcommins, was entitled "Erga Omnes Implementation in Ireland" and explored Irish perspectives on prisoner voting. Representatives of the Council of Europe, the Venice Commission, members of the judiciary and academics presented papers at the event. The project is financially supported by the Council of Europe, Moscow State University, PluriCourts/University of Oslo, University of Durham, Higher School of Economics and the University of Surrey.
