Dr Kathryn O’Sullivan, School of Law, recently spent three weeks as a Dobbin Atlantic Scholar at the Schulich School of Law in Dalhousie University, Canada. The visit was supported by the Ireland Canada University Foundation and the title of the research project was ‘Spousal Support Advisory Guidelines & the Experience of Nova Scotia: Lessons for Ireland?’. During her time there, Kathryn met with the co-creator of the Spousal Support Advisory Guidelines, Professor Rollie Thompson, as well as various members of the judiciary in Nova Scotia and other Canadian provinces.
