Criminal Procedure Module -Guest Lecture with Rebecca Coen director of research with the Law Reform Commission

We are delighted to announce that Rebecca will deliver a guest lecture to our class on Wednesday the 10th of March at 2.30pm. Rebecca Coen was recently appointed as the new director of research in the Law Reform Commission.
Ms Coen, a graduate of University College Cork who was called to the Bar in 2005, has worked in a number of prosecutorial positions since 2008. She was a senior prosecutor and deputy head of the prosecution policy unit at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions from February 2008 to October 2009.
She subsequently worked until February 2020 in the directing division of the DPP’s office, where she was a principal prosecutor managing indictable cases at every level and stage of the criminal process.
Ms Coen is the author of Garda Powers: Law and Practice (Clarus Press 2014) and co-author of the Law Society of Ireland’s Criminal Litigation: Fourth Edition (Oxford University Press 2016).
