The School of Law and the Centre for Crime, Justice and Victim Studies hosted a CPD event for practitioners on Thursday, October 27th. The event provided an update on bail laws and sentencing and the Victims' Directive. His Honour Judge Thomas E O'Donnell acted as chair and presentations were delivered by Professor Shane Kilcommins, Dr Eimear Spain, Dr. Susan Leahy, Mr Thomas Kiely, McCarthy and Kiely Solicitors and Mr John O'Sullivan BL. The event was attended by 60 practitioners, undergraduate and postgraduate students.
