ICEL are delighted to announce the initial session of the Law and Technology Lunch and Learn Series in Limerick City.

Speaker: Professor Raymond J Friel

Title: New Frontiers in law and technology.

Friel will survey the way in which technology is rapidly impacting on the practice of law and will introduce this year’s Lunch and Learn Seminar Series. From road traffic liability arising from Advanced Driver Assistance Programmes, to Product Liability, Cybercrime, Privacy, Electronic Payments, advanced healthcare and the use of Artificial Intelligence in decision making processes, Friel will highlight the future conflicts between traditional legal rules and the rapid mass introduction of new technologies which will change the commercial, consumer and governmental environment in ways that we only barely comprehend within a very short timeframe.

Location: Savoy Hotel, Limerick City

Time: 12.50 Registration for 1pm start. Finish at 2pm.
