The School of Law was delighted to welcome the Commission on the Future of Policing in Ireland to UL on Monday October 9th. The Commission has been appointed to carry out a fundamental review of An Garda Síochána including roles, structures, leadership and management within the organisation. The ethos and culture of policing and existing oversight and consultative arrangements will also be reviewed. Prof Shane Kilcommins and Dr Eimear Spain were delighted to take part in this process of consultation.
