Mathilda Twomey, a doctoral student of Dr Seán Patrick Donlan (UL), was appointed Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Seychelles last month. She had served on the Court of Appeal of Seychelles since March 2011.
Chief Justice Twomey is also finalising her doctoral research through NUIG, co-supervised by Marie McGonagle (NUIG) and Dr Donlan. Her work is the first comprehensive legal analysis of Seychelles’ mixed/micro jurisdiction. She completed a successful viva last week.
