CCJVS Members Participate in Criminal Justice Joint Agencies Conference Dr Susan Leahy and Dr Margaret Fitzgerald-O'Reilly both presented workshops at the 'Sixth Annual Irish Criminal Justice Joint Agencies Conference' on June 4th. The lead collaboator for the conference this year was the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the event was co-organised by the Association for Criminal Justice Research and Development. The conference theme was 'Sexual Offences: The Challenged of Balancing Rights in the Criminal Justice System'. Dr Fitzgerald-O'Reilly presented her research on sex offenders at a workshop entitled 'Sex Offender Management: Contextualising Policing and Exploring Challenges'. Dr Leahy's workshop was entitled 'Consent in Rape Trials: Turning Laws into Reality'. Dr Leahy was also a member of the organising committee for the conference.
