Congratulations to Sarah McCarthy, Law student, who won the A & L Goodbody Bold Ideas Award. Sarah’s idea related to the creation of the Irish Fintech Investor Market ("IFIM"), an online tool to connect young Irish Fintech start ups that lack the necessary funding to progress their ideas, with investors from across the world online using the crypto currency Bitcoin. The presentations took place in the A&L Goodbody offices in on 29 November. The three finalists gave individual presentations in front of a small crowd on their ideas to the three judges; Sarah Lennon (legal counsel at Google), Jonathon Newman (SC) and John Whelan (Head of International Technology at A&L). After a short deliberation Sarah was chosen as the overall winner. The competition was the perfect opportunity to learn about financial technology and FDI in Ireland
