Nancy Avila is on a three month visiting research fellowship at CALS, funded by the Universidad Autónoma Madrid. Nancy is a third year PhD student supervised by CALS Associate Member, Dr. Carolina Amador, and Dr. Jesús Romero. Her research interests cover migration and mobility and corpus approaches to studying emotions and pragmatics and gender studies, and she teaches academic writing in English at the UAM.
