Professional Development

ITD offers general professional development seminars and workshops throughout the academic year to faculty and staff. Sessions focus on the technologies that ITD provide for teaching and learning including Sulis and BigBlueButton. AV sessions that focus on traditional and online video conferencing are also offered. For an up-to-date list of upcoming professional development sessions, please see the UL HR Training and Development Courses list.

ITD also offer departmental focussed professional development sessions where specific workshops are delivered based on departmental requirements. To discuss this or any professional development requirement, please log a call at the  ITD Service Desk

ITD regularly runs other types of professional development for the campus community.

The Sakai Virtual Conference is a fully online event that will runs annually.  The conference has an emphasis on pedagogy and best practices of using Sakai for teaching and learning. Please see the attached conference schedule for more details

ITD ran 4 seminars in the 2015/6 academic year in the area of Technology Enhanced Learning. The seminars were funded through the National Forum Seminar Series initiative 2015/16.
