Clodagh McEniry has completed a B.A. in New Media and English. She undertook an internship with HHRG as part of her coop experience in 2017. This internship motivated her to pursue a career in hate research. Her Final Year Project, How an Online Imageboard Played a Role in a Hate-Motivated Mass Shooting: A Case Study of 4chan, 8chan and the Christchurch Mosque Shooting, inspired her to continue her studies in the field. She has been accepted into the MA programme for Law, Human Rights and Criminal Justice at UL. She is working with the ECSH on the Covid 19 related hostility project.
We look forward to welcoming Dr Piotr Godzisz to the ECSH in September 2021 as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow. Dr Godzisz will join the ECSH to work on the diffusion of international hate crime norms in EU accession states. He will work with Dr Amanda Haynes (Sociology) and Dr Jennifer Schweppe (Law). Dr Godzisz completed his PhD in Criminology at University College London and will join UL from Birmingham City University.
If you would like to apply for a postgraduate or postdoctoral scholarship to work with any of the ECSH members, please contact us on ECSH@ul.ie.
